At Pappa Pren’s Pizza, every slice has a story.
Pren’s journey began in Kosovo, where his childhood was shaped during the hardships of the Serbian war. Seeking a brighter future, his family immigrated to America and settled in the Bronx. It was there, at just 12 years old, that Pren discovered his lifelong passion for pizza. Surrounded by the rich aromas of classic New York pizzerias, he learned the craft that would one day become his calling.
As the years passed, Pren’s family relocated to Dutchess County, NY, where he continued refining his skills and experimenting with his own specialty pies. His pizzas blended the bold, traditional flavors of New York with a personal, creative touch that quickly became his signature style.
Life took another joyful turn when Pren met his wife, Melissa, in 2011. With Melissa by his side as his biggest supporter, the couple moved to South Carolina to raise their four children and share Pren’s passion with their new community. That dream grew into Pappa Pren’s Pizza—a name that has since become synonymous with family, flavor, and togetherness.
From the very beginning, Pappa Pren’s has been more than just a pizzeria. Pren’s generosity flows beyond the restaurant’s walls, as he happily brings his pizza to church gatherings, school functions, baseball games, and local events. Each slice is more than food—it’s a way of connecting people, creating memories, and celebrating community.
